5 Hour 27 Minutes so much time an Average person spends on mobile phone in a day while Youngsters spend 5 Hour 42 Minutes so if you are an Average person then approximately you are giving 19710 Hours of your life only to the phone i.e. About 821 days and do you know how much time we have to give to that skill to reach the Best Of Best level in any field. I hope you will remember this number and this number is 10000 Hours.
Means if we want to become Best of Best in Music, we have to give 10000 hours to reach the level of A.R Rahman, if we want to be Best Of Best in Business then we have to give 10000 hours to become Best Of Best, like Sachin Tendulkar Even if you want 10000 Hours.
Let's assume that we give 4 hours daily on some skill for 7 years. So do you know that how many hours you would have spent, this number comes 4*365*7=10220 Hours means we must have reached the level of Best Of Best.
If we give 4 hours even for 5 years, then we will have given 7300 hours to that skill and in this maximum people around us will know that we are above average in our skill and are about to reach master level. Obviously, now the question comes that if we are spending 5, 5:30 hours on the phone every day, then we can divert the same time in some skills and become the best of the best in our field.
But you know that it is not so easy to do this, we spend most of our time on Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, Internet, Twitter and YouTube.
Tesla and Space-X founder Elon Musk says that social media makes us very sad, especially Instagram. It seems on Instagram that people are living a better life than they are not even living. People post pictures in their Instagram in which they are looking very happy or use so many filters in their pictures that they look as beautiful as they are not in actuality.
Very few people who do not use filters in their pictures, at least select and put such pictures in which they look good because of Lighting or Angel. Now it happens that when we see this picture, we think that these people are so beautiful and happy and we are neither beautiful nor happy, so it means that I am a loser.
Whereas in reality the people whose pictures we are feeling sad, they themselves are not happy and many people who were looking very happy in their insta posts, those people are the most sad in real life.
Now Elon says that Happiness = Reality – Everyone is the same in Expectation and Reality, but it happens that by comparing ourselves with others, our Expectation increases and that is why we start feeling more unhappy.
Means, in short Social Media Application and their Notification, Time Waist is happening but Excite is also increasing, Deprecation is also happening, our money is also ending and no one wants to be social in business. Even if we are sitting with someone, everyone is using their phone.

Let us understand it in simple words.
Every human being needs a feeling of importance, this feeling is as important for us as food, you know why a particular subject becomes favorite of maximum people. Was it because our mind was made for that? Not at all.
This is just because we got importance in this subject in our childhood, it may be that we have given 5 to 10 hours in any subject and our parents or our teachers said Wow man, he is fast in Math's and we are happy. Then we gave 40 to 100 more hours in maths. Now we have given more time in maths than other classmates that's why our teacher started praising us and we constantly started getting important in particular subject and everyone said that he is naturally talented.
Similarly, everyone needs importance in one way or the other. Some want to get importance by showing style by wearing nice clothes, some want to get importance by clearing IAS exam, some want to get importance by serving people and becoming good in everyone's eyes and this is the truth.
That's why social media sites want to give us the easiest way to get importance and that is like and comments. You tell the truth that out of all the posts of friends you had liked, how many people did you actually like their posts?
Obviously the answer for maximum of us will be very few. So the question is that why do we ourselves think that when someone likes our post that he actually likes us and this is probably known to us and social media creators too, but now by taking some likes easily when some important We are already getting the feeling, so why should we get the feeling of importance by doing some great work?
Anyway, now the question comes that what is its solution?
So the only answer to this is Dopamine Detox or what we call Dopamine Fasting. So basically Dopamine is a Neurotransmitter, a chemical that is released in our brain whenever we do any enjoyable activity. Now you will say that this is a good thing, no… This is not a good thing.
The problem with taking Dopamine from social media is that social media is trending our brain for Dopamine Anticipation, that means we will get Notification Someone Like Your Photograph. Now you want to see who is that Someone, now you will go to that social media platform again.
When this will be repeated again and again, then our brain will become trend that on the arrival of notification, we used to get happy, Dopamine would have been released.
Now it will happen that whenever we hear the sound of Notification, our brain will release Dopamine even before opening the Notification and it will probably not be any reward and in this movement we will be trended like a pet and it is enough to leave it. It will be difficult.
So to avoid this, many people follow Dopamine Detox, it is a simple concept which says that we will not be involved in any fun activity for some particular time, neither phone, nor music, nor any hobby. In this we will obviously feel bored and the idea is that when we do this Dopamine Detox, we will be able to reduce the Dopamine Threshold Value and we will start liking boring things too.
Obviously it does not have any side effects, but maximum people ask this question, for how long should it be done. By the way, you can consider it fasting or fasting. Fun Activity and Dopamine Fasting can be done one day in a week, but honestly, for those people whose work is going on digitally, it is a bit difficult to stay off from these things for a day.
That's why we can practice it daily even for 1-2 hours. Friends, I consider Dopamine Detox as deep work, that is, whenever we are going to do any High Intensity Task, then at that time turn off your internet for 1 to 2 hours because after 1 to 2 hours we need a break anyway. So at that time we can see Notification or something else.

Now many people will find this idea strange that to get rid of the phone, what is the idea of using Phones Application? But this is the reality, now we ourselves cannot meager that time by taking Physically Stop Watch.
So friends, we have seen that :-
1. On Average a person is wasting 5 to 6 hours every day in social media which means that in 10 years 19710 hours are being wasted only in phone i.e. 821 days i.e. about 2.3 Years and this is a very scary number It is because in this time we can become Best Of Best in any particular field from Zero Level in anything.
2. Then we saw that Elon Musk believes that social media is a big reason for depression and anxiety, in which Instagram is one such platform. In this platform, we always compare our reality with the false life of others and keep getting sad when maximum of the people who are posting these things themselves are sad.
3. Then we saw that, every time when Notifications come, our brain releases Dopamine and when we get trained for it, our brain releases Dopamine just by the sound of Notification and we fall into that trap. Get stuck. There was only one way to avoid this, which we also call Dopamine Detox or Dopamine Fasting.
4. So in Dopamine Detox we saw that for some time we have to go away from every fun activity and let ourselves get bored so that our brain accepts boring activity as well and does not wait for fun activity forever.
5. For this we had seen that we can also use such an application which tells us in the whole day how much time we spent on the phone and how much time was given to which particular application. With this, we can also observe our own excuses whether we are spending more time on social media on the internet or in actual watching a lecture or business video and achieving our goal.
