Alif Laila Story -  ( Part 2 ) The Story Of Kane Alkooz, The Fourth Brother Of The Barber

In fact, the truth was that the old man was a magician, who was expert in creating illusions in front of the eyes with magic. He created the same illusion in front of Alkuz as well. For five months, he has been giving him round pieces of paper, but before my brother's eyes those pieces keep looking like shiny silver coins.

After that, he now created confusion in front of people's eyes. A dead sheep was shown as a dead person inside the shop. The old man knew that my brother had already killed a sheep. He showed him like a human in front of the people. The people present there did not know that the old man was a magician and had cheated not only my brother but everyone.

When people saw the dead body of a human being in the shop, they all became enraged and in a fit of rage, everyone thrashed my brother. People accused him, called him vile, sinful. He was hit so hard that only one of his eyes burst. This was the reason why my brother Alkuz was one eyed.

When everyone was beating my brother, that old man also joined in it. He did not leave my brother only after beating him, but he took this matter to the Qazi. That scoundrel reached Qazi's place with old people and with that dead body. As soon as the Qazi went there, the old man used his magic once again. Because of his magic, the carcass of a sheep appeared to the Qazi like a dead body of a human being, just like to other people. Qazi also got very angry with this and did not listen to my brother.

My brother kept praying to the Qazi for mercy, crying out and asking him to show mercy and believe his words, but the Qazi ignored his words and ordered him to be flogged five hundred times and made to roam around the city on a camel. After that he was ordered to be removed from the city. Qazi's request was fulfilled and Alkuz was thrown out of the city.

I was in the city of Baghdad when my brother was going through this difficult time. My brother was hiding in some unknown place after being expelled from the city. When a few days passed and his body regained the strength to move, he left there and, hiding away from everyone's eyes, reached a city where no one recognized him. Similarly, he spent a few days hungry and thirsty. Sometimes I would get some work, then I would get some food too. When nothing happened, he used to live by begging.

Time was passing like this that one day when he was passing through the road, he heard the sound of some horses' hoofs. He turned and saw that some horsemen were following him. He thought that maybe those people were coming to catch him. Fearing, my brother started entering a big house. Then two people caught hold of my brother and said, 'We were here in search of you for three days. It is good that you yourself fell into our hands.

My brother was surprised to hear this. He said, ' What are you guys saying and what do you guys want from me? I can't understand anything. Looks like you guys got tricked. Why have you guys caught me?'

They said in a loud voice, ' We have not been deceived. You are the same thief who looted all the wealth of our master and made him poor and when even this did not satisfy you, now you want to kill him. You have come here only to kill our master. You came here last night also for the same reason and when we all ran after you to catch you, we also saw the knife in your hand. Tell me, do you still have that knife with you?’ As soon as they said this, both of them started searching for my brother, but perhaps it was my brother’s misfortune that the knife he used to cut animals was found in his clothes.

Both of them saw the knife near my brother and said, 'Now there is no doubt that you have come to kill our master.' So does he become a murderer or a thief? You guys listen to my story once, I am already dead of sorrows. If you listen to my past, you will believe that I am not a liar.' Saying this, my brother Alkuz narrated his sad story to both of them.

Alkuz's sad story ended, but even Alkuz's sad story had no effect on those people and they started beating him. They beat him severely, tore his clothes and looking at the bruises on his body, said, 'You are an old sinner and seem to have committed many crimes, so you have been beaten before.' hit my brother a lot. My brother kept on crying, crying and blaming God for his fate and cursing God, he started asking, 'What is my fault, that I was punished before without any crime and now again without any crime, I am getting this punishment. Used to be.'

My brother Alkuz kept on crying, but it had no effect on those people. Those people were not satisfied even with this and they dragged Alkuz and took him to Qazi's place. Both of them showed the knife of Alkuz and claimed that he was a thief and a criminal.

Now my brother was looking at Kazi with great desire and started saying to him, 'Master, listen to my complaint also, you will be able to understand by listening to my words, how much injustice has been done to me and how unfortunate I am.' Saying something, both those men told Qazi not to listen to Alkuz's false story. If they want to know its truth and know more about it, then remove its clothes and see the marks of injuries on its body. This is a chronic criminal, who has always been punished.

Ignoring my brother, the Qazi listened to both of them and made him take off his clothes and see. Seeing Alkuj's old wounds, Qazi realized that my brother was really a thief-scoundrel. The Qazi ordered that Alkuz should be flogged 100 times and made to ride a camel through the city. Also its story should be told to everyone and then it should be thrown out of the city.

After hearing so much story of his brother, the barber further said that 'some people informed me about this condition of my brother. On hearing this, I went there and found my brother and brought him home.

Khalifa was very pleased to hear this story of the barber and he asked the barber to send him a reward, but the barber said, 'My master, my government, the story of my two brothers is still pending.'

After saying this, the barber started the story of his fifth brother. Stay tuned to Momjunction to know about the next interesting story of Nai.
