Alif Laila Story - The Story Of Prince Khudadad And The Princess Of Dariabar |
After the story of Janussanam, Shahrzad began to tell the story of the king of Harran Nagar to the Caliph.
Shahrazad told that the king of Harran city was very happy in his life, but he was sad that he did not have a single child. Due to not having a single child even after having fifty queens, he used to pray to God everyday for a child. One day someone came in his dream and told him to go to the gardener's garden near him and eat pomegranate. By doing this, there will be children in your house.
Early in the morning he went to the nearby gardener and asked him for pomegranates to eat. He quietly gave the pomegranate to the king. As soon as he got the pomegranate, the king peeled it and ate 50 seeds because he had 50 wives. After a few days, 49 wives of the emperor became pregnant, but Begum Piroj was not conceived. Angered by this, the king ordered to kill that wife.
After getting the order, the minister explained to the emperor that she might be pregnant, but she was not showing any symptoms. So, you don't ask them to kill you. Hearing this, the king said, “I do not want to see this woman in front of me. Send it to my nephew's city of Samaria." Having said this, the king wrote a letter to his nephew saying that I am sending one of my wives to your city. If she has a child, then inform me.
After nine months the king's nephew Sumer told that his wife had given birth to a son. In response, the king sent a letter saying that you take care of him. Here my other wives have also given birth to sons. Name my son Khudadad and give him good education. After receiving the letter from the king, Sumer took good care of everyone. As Khudadad grew up, he became very strong. He also knew horse riding and archery very well.
He was so powerful that no one had the courage to fight in front of him. One day Khudadad came to know that his father's kingdom Harran has been attacked by enemies. Hearing this, he started preparing to go to Haran, but his mother stopped him from going there. His mother told Khudadad that unless you get a call from your father, do not go to that state at all. He stopped after listening to his mother, but he could not do so for long.
One day he left for Harran after saying goodbye to his mother saying that he was going hunting. Going there to the king, Khudadad did not give his correct introduction. He said that I have left Cairo to tour the whole country. I came to know that this kingdom was besieged by some enemies. If you want, I can fight the enemies by your side.
The king was happy to hear this. They tested his strength and pleased with God made him the biggest officer of the army. As soon as he became an officer, Khudadad put the entire army to the test and made everyone so capable that the enemies started fearing the king's army. The king was pleased with Khudadad and asked him to teach his sons as well.
Everyday Khudadad used to give tests to the princes. Gradually, the king gave such a high position to Khudadad that everyone started respecting him. Even the princes had to work only after taking the permission of God. Time passed and the princes became jealous of Khudadad. He thought that Khudadad should be killed by someone, but he did not do so for fear of being caught again.
After a few days, a prince said that why should not we go hunting after asking God. Then they will not come back at all. When Abba learns that all his sons are missing, he orders Khudadad to be killed. All the princes liked this trick. Everyone did just that. Not seeing his sons in the palace all day, the king asked God about them. Khudadad told the king that all the princes had gone hunting after asking me, but they have not returned yet.
After three days passed, the king angrily told Khudadad that if my sons do not return safely, I will kill you. Go find them quickly. Khudadad also went out of fear to find his brothers. He searched from place to place for several days, but could not find anyone. Then he reached a dense forest.
A stone cave appeared in the middle of the forest. There was a girl. Seeing Khudadad, that girl asked how did you come here? Let's go from this cave immediately. This cave belongs to a demon who roams around in human form. He brings many people here everyday and keeps them imprisoned. Whenever he is hungry, he eats one of them. You go away or else he will imprison you too.
Hearing this, Jainussanam asked her what are you doing here. That girl replied that the demon has brought me too. He wants to make me his wife.
Jainussanam was listening to his words, that's why the demon came in the form of a human. He was very big and had a long sword in his hand. He attacked Janussanam on seeing him talking with the girl. Jainussanam somehow survived the attack. After that Jainussanam attacked the demon's leg with a sword kept nearby. As soon as the demon faltered Jainussanam killed him.
That girl told Janussanam as soon as the demon died that he has a bunch of keys, before that open my door and then get the other people released as well. Jainussanam did exactly the same. When he opened the lock of the biggest room, more than 100 people were imprisoned there. After taking all those people out, Janussanam saw that 49 of them were his own brothers.
Janussanam hugged all his brothers and arranged food for everyone to eat. Janussanam also gave food to other people who were taken prisoner and found their goods looted by the demon and gave them back. Everyone started returning to their home. Jainussanam was going to Haran with his 49 brothers when he saw that girl.
Janussanam asked him that you said that you are going to stay, tell me. We'll get you there. The girl said that I am the daughter of the king of Dariabar, an island near Cairo. Thank you for saving my life, but I am very unhappy. A person killed my father and looted the whole kingdom. To escape from the person who killed my father, I came running towards this forest. Then this demon imprisoned me in the cave.
Hearing this, Khudadad and the princes expressed their desire to hear the story of that girl in detail. After that the princess sat there and started narrating her story to everyone. To know this story read the second part of the story.
